I spent a semester in London in autumn 2003 and regularly attended Bloomsbury. Brian Haymes was very hospitable and treated me to lunch on one occasion. At the time I had no idea that he was such a notable figure!

Hello!
I am trying to obtain a copy of B.Haymes "A Question of Identity for my studies on Baptist History and Principles.
I have tried potential commercial stockists without success. Can you advise, please?

Dear John, it is not longer available. You could read a copy I'm sure in any of the Baptist college libraries. Otherwise I suggest you get hold of his more recent work on Baptist life and church called On Being the Church (Paternoster, 2008), which is only £10 in Paternoster sale: http://www.authenticmedia.co.uk/images/Pat10Sale.pdf
