I'd be more interested in the view of the car park the following week. Did the sermon have any impact? Did anyone get beyond intellectual concurrence, into behaving differently?
The hopeful part of me says - yes, community can help us find enlightenment and provide accountability to respond appropriately.
The cynical part says - no, as long as we agree intellectually and believe the right things we can continue as before. Back to practical athiesm...
