I have been sent John Colwells for a mission symposium which I have contributing to - interesting stuff and a challenge to "functional" mission folk. Rowan Williams has summed it up for me and my parish in the simple phrase that mission is
" finding out what God is doing in the world and joining in with being there". At recent Faith in the Workplace gathering with a load of local medics it was interesting to suggest to them that "being" in a setting or in a relationship with a person was a vital precursor to "doing" anything with, to or for them.
