This looks like a good film which is coming soon. It's about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission which investigated human right abuses in South Africa during apartheid. I'm glad films like this still get made. We've already had Hotel Rwanda this year - which I"ve not yet had a chance to see. You can download the trailer here and the website can be found here. I've not been able to discover the UK release date.
The story of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission led by Archbishop Desmond Tutu is a fantastic testament to the grace of God that despite all beliefs to the contrary South Africa was able to tell the truth of its horrific history and was able to forgive one another. Instead of retribution for the crimes comitted, South Africa practised restoration - a different kind of justice, perhaps a more costly justice, but definitely a Christian sense of justice.
Ah! Finally a film one can get one's teeth into! There hasn't been much about lately that appealed to me... I think it's because of LOTR... nothing looks good enough anymore ;o)
Now to find a discount cinema...

That sounds fantastic. I really enjoyed 'The Interpreter' recently, and while the story isn't as big, it does deal with how people feel about conflict and whether violence or words are better.

I did a google, and ended up here :oP I did read the words "Limited Release" under this film somewhere, so it may skip the cinema here, which would be decidedly unfortunate, but not at all suprising...
