Tom Smail has died.
He was a student of Karl Barth. Smail was an important reformed theologian who engaged with the charismatic movement.

He will indeed be missed, a gracious man. I loved it when he occasionally turned up at post grad sessions and you knew you were in for a treat as he graciously challenged the speaker of the day. When I discovered he as a student of Barth the phrase, 'Barth says...' took on a whole new significance!
