Baptist theology conference

Hearts and mind conference logo

I'm looking forward to the hearts and minds: baptists doing theology in context conference at Regent's Park College in a few weeks time (post-Greenbelt), where I'm giving a short paper (still to write!) on the 'end' of worship. Other papers look good. This will be the first gathering of this type since 2008 and its got a new feel to it this time being in partnership with the BU and BMS. Steve Holmes and Cathy Ross are the plenary speakers.

What do you mean by the 'end' of worship here, Andy?

Andy Goodliff

The paper's title is 'being sent: theological reflections on the 'end' of worship', wanting to explore that how we end worship services is important because it also helps us see that proper end to worship is mission ... I'm still working it out. One of those things where you send off a title with some inklings of an idea for a paper and then when you come to write it, you find there is a lot of work to do ... the theme of the conference is baptists and the mission of God.

Hi Andy, I have really enjoyed reading Simon Chan's Liturgical Theology and David Stancliffe's God's Pattern: Shaping our Worship, Ministry and Life.
